Overview
The VP-15S is an oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump for the filtration bench. It gives adjustable suction up to 15 L/min and an ultimate vacuum of 0.08 MPa, read on the built-in gauge. In addition, its 30 W motor runs below 45 dB.
Because there is no oil, exhaust and samples stay clean. As a result, the pump can sit on the bench next to the analyst. Finally, overload, over-temperature and short-circuit protection come built in.

Applications
The pump serves membrane filtration for suspended solids and microbiological plate counts, vacuum filtration of samples and reagents, and degassing. In addition, it drives filtration apparatus and aspirators in water and QC laboratories.

Why does the pump have adjustable suction? Membrane filtration for microbiology and TSS needs a gentle, controlled draw. Otherwise filters tear and bacteria suffer stress. Therefore the knob sets the flow to the method.
Does it need maintenance? No oil changes. The rubber diaphragm is the only wearing part, and you can replace it.
