Overview
The bromide ion selective electrode PBr-1-01 is a half-cell (indicator) electrode. It carries a salt membrane sensing element in an organic glass body. Specifically, it measures Br⁻ from 5 × 10⁻⁶ – 0.1 M (0.4 mg/L – 7.99 g/L) at 5 – 60 °C and a working pH of 2 – 11. However, I⁻, S²⁻, CN⁻ interfere.
Because it is a half-cell, you use it together with a separate reference electrode. The manufacturer specifies: Saturated KCl solution (inner solution) + 1 mol/L KNO₃ (outer solution). In addition, the BNC(Q9) connector fits benchtop ion meters and titrators with separate indicator and reference inputs. As a result, you can choose the reference system and the outer filling solution to suit your sample.
