Overview
The copper ion selective electrode PCu-1-01 is a half-cell (indicator) electrode. It carries a salt membrane sensing element in an organic glass body. Specifically, it measures Cu²⁺ from 5 × 10⁻⁷ – 0.1 M (32 µg/L – 6.4 g/L) at 5 – 60 °C and a working pH of 3 – 6. However, Hg⁺, Ag⁺, Fe³⁺, Cl⁻, Br⁻ interfere.
Because it is a half-cell, you use it together with a separate reference electrode. The manufacturer specifies: C(K2SO4)-1. In addition, the BNC(Q9) connector fits benchtop ion meters and titrators with separate indicator and reference inputs. As a result, you can choose the reference system and the outer filling solution to suit your sample.
