Description
Overview
The VM-500S is the knob-controlled vortex mixer of the range. Touch the module with a tube, and it spins up to 3000 rpm. Alternatively, switch to Run for continuous mixing at 200–3000 rpm. The brushless motor and the low, wide body keep it planted on the bench.
In addition, the full set adds three interchangeable modules: VM501 for single tubes, VM502 for flasks and multiple tubes, and VM503 for 21 blood-collection tubes. As a result, one mixer covers the whole bench.

Applications
The vortex mixer resuspends reagents and standards, mixes reagent tablets and powders into sample vials, and homogenises water samples before photometer readings. In addition, it handles general tube mixing in water, microbiology and clinical laboratories.

How does this vortex mixer differ from the VM-500Pro? The Pro adds an LCD display, digital speed setting and a 1 min – 8 h timer. The VM-500S, in contrast, is knob-controlled with no timer. Both take the same modules.
Can I add other modules later? Yes. VM504 (5/15 ml centrifuge tubes × 12), VM505 (50 ml × 4 plus 5/15 ml) and VM506 (0.2 ml × 96 / 96-well plate) fit the same drive.
