Cyanide (CN⁻) Ion Selective Half-Cell Electrode PCN-1-01

R2,240.26 incl. VAT

Cyanide ion-selective half-cell electrode PCN-1-01. It measures CN⁻ from 1 × 10⁻⁶ – 1 × 10⁻² M (26 µg/L – 0.26 g/L) together with a separate reference electrode. Organic glass body, Φ12 × 120 mm, BNC(Q9) connector.

Description

Overview

The cyanide ion selective electrode PCN-1-01 is a half-cell (indicator) electrode. It carries a salt membrane sensing element in an organic glass body. Specifically, it measures CN⁻ from 1 × 10⁻⁶ – 1 × 10⁻² M (26 µg/L – 0.26 g/L) at 5 – 60 °C and a working pH of 11 – 13.

Because it is a half-cell, you use it together with a separate reference electrode. The manufacturer specifies: Saturated KCl solution (inner solution) + 1 mol/L KNO₃(outer solution). In addition, the BNC(Q9) connector fits benchtop ion meters and titrators with separate indicator and reference inputs. As a result, you can choose the reference system and the outer filling solution to suit your sample.

Applications

This electrode serves plating and mining effluent, and cyanide destruction control. Therefore, calibrate it with standards that bracket your sample for accurate results. In addition, keep sample and standards at the same temperature.

Why buy the cyanide ion selective electrode from Hadron Group

Hadron Group runs its own water laboratory in Pretoria. In addition, we supply analytical instruments to municipal, mining, food and industrial laboratories across South Africa and the SADC region. We stock the electrodes we use ourselves. Moreover, calibration standards, filling solutions and replacement membranes are available for every model. Finally, we help you match the electrode to your meter before you order.

Frequently asked questions

How do I order the cyanide ion selective electrode PCN-1-01? Quote the model number and your meter. In addition, tell us which standards and filling solutions you need, and we will quote the set.

Do I need a reference electrode? Yes. This is a half-cell (indicator) electrode. The manufacturer specifies Saturated KCl solution (inner solution) + 1 mol/L KNO₃(outer solution). In addition, we can pair it for you when you order.

Which meters is it compatible with? In short, benchtop ion meters and titrators with a BNC(Q9) indicator input and a separate reference input.

What is the measuring range in concentration units? The range is 1 × 10⁻⁶ – 1 × 10⁻² M. In other words, it corresponds to 26 µg/L – 0.26 g/L.
