Urea reagent 1 measure urea, which enters pool and spa water from bathers and reacts with chlorine to form the chloramines behind eye irritation and the characteristic indoor pool smell. It is also monitored in industrial effluent from fertiliser and chemical plants.

Several photometric methods use two or three reagents in sequence. Check which components your method lists, and we will make sure the set is complete before it ships.

How should liquid reagents be stored?
Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, with the cap firmly closed. Note the batch and expiry on the bottle, and work through the oldest stock first.
