Manganese needs a higher oxidation potential and usually a higher pH than iron, so plant that oxidises iron adequately will often still let manganese pass.

A pillow is a pre-measured dose in a sealed sachet, so there is nothing to weigh out and no part-used tablet strip. Where a method is only offered in powder form, the pillow is what the instrument expects.

How should powder pillows be stored?
