Why use hydrazine instead of sulphite?
Sulphite adds dissolved solids to the boiler water. Hydrazine reacts with oxygen to give nitrogen and water, so it suits high-pressure plant where solids must be kept out.

Does this reagent work on its own?
Several photometric methods use two or three reagents in sequence. Check which components your method lists, and we will make sure the set is complete before it ships.

How should liquid reagents be stored?
Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, with the cap firmly closed. Note the batch and expiry on the bottle, and work through the oldest stock first.
