What is the difference between free and total chlorine?
Free chlorine is what is still available to disinfect. Total chlorine adds the combined fraction that has already reacted with ammonia and organics, and the gap between the two is the combined chlorine.

Does this reagent work on its own?
Several photometric methods use two or three reagents in sequence. Check which components your method lists, and we will make sure the set is complete before it ships.

How should liquid reagents be stored?
Cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, with the cap firmly closed. Note the batch and expiry on the bottle, and work through the oldest stock first.
